@donnie, welcome to the SL you and the Mrs. I'm quite curious what the two of you will come up with and what dynamic your characters will bring into play. Awesome dramaness IC of course! Who doesn't love two people who can plot with the best of them. Trophy wives. Women who wear the pants. A man who's glare can curdle milk at 20 paces.. Two muns who share a mind. Oh my! [All right, so my attempt at a Wizard of Oz thing sucked ass]
Betwixt the Mr. and I.. we come up with some pretty awesome stuff. We're just happy we can find someplace to go. Woo! And of course Cullen is beyond happy that he can get out of Boston for a few months and back to New York, even at the price of having to live in a house he hates.
Christ, there I go talking about our characters like they're real people. Save me!

Welcome welcome! Thanks for the brief on the Lady Deacon, that offers some perspective. Maybe she'll find some comfort among the books in a fancy and well decorated bookstore and library? Her husband is welcome too, of course, Jane doesn't discriminate except against a specific cartel.

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and I play the Call Girl slash Secretary of the group, Amanda Cross. On first glance, Amanda might seem like a made-for-smut-character; however, you'd also be decidedly wrong to know that Smut is the last thing on my mind. If you've read the bebo (samanthacrown@aol.com), you'll also find that I have several plots to consider in the works for the: the wayward/elusive politician, the handsome possible killer client, the good doctor from Maryland that she'd left behind and numerous other possibilities regarding the Mercenaries hired by the politician to monitor Amandas daily life. As for me, I've been RPing since I found out that something like this existed and could be done online. My RP experiences include: some stints with the Gorean community, to the finer elements of the supernatural/mythology, and up to and including covert/military warfare (Vince Flynn, Nelson Demille) type scenarios, but I also never like to limit myself. Except regarding the NOs section of my bebo profile. The girls that I play have fire in them, are feisty, smart and intelligent. They also consider themselves to be equal to men without ever backing down for their beliefs: at all. But above all of this, I hope that we all have a good time in this storyline! I'm totally revved for it and I hope to hear from everyone soon!

Wow I'm surprised to see so many who've played Gor before. What?! lol.
@ the Mr. and Mrs. I'm not sure I'm a Trophy wife plotline kind of person but I do love that you two seem equipt and capable of depth filled characters and detailed filled scenarios. Which are awesome in my book, not that anyone's quoting me. :-p

Welcome Laurie! May I say you chose an excellent PB for Taylor. That guy can deliver a charming or malicious look without trying. Lovely banner. Though Ballet may be a little lost on Jane, I have a notion to have her get tickets for the next show anyway... Thanks for the warm welcome, and the compliment! I hope that I can play both Taylor and Alessandro the way they can and should be portrayed! So far, things are going quite well, just setting up the scene behind the scenes. Heh. Alessandro is a wonderful teacher and he's not a snooty person so Jane would be welcome at the ballet. Feel free to IM me sometime, whether I am on chaotic ballet or Nighttime burn. I would love to play:)

Oh, well the thing is the media paints her as a trophy wife. She isn't though. A trophy wife isn't typically seen as an equal by the husband, it's a sexy little number he has on his arm to take to parties, which Thalia never has been and never will be. Sure she is gorgeous, but Cullen 100% sees her as his equal. She is the single only person who can put him in his place and even when they had first met, she never paid for it. Other people? Oh, they will. But, yes, she's no trophy wife! I think that probably came out a bit skewed. Thalia is in every single way, equal to Cullen. She's got little to no interest in his money and never has, which makes her unlike most chars. Hell, she's so independent that she'll go out of her way to buy things with her own money! She just wants to be his wife and best friend and partner, not his pet that he buys things for. I think it's a step outside the usual since most SLs we've been in our characters were treated like crap and he was called a "pedophile" because she's so much younger, and she's been called horrible names like trophy wife, gold digger, and user. And the fact is they're nothing like everyone paints them, so we think they sort of.. unique in that.

Gor. The place where you can go and meet new and interesting people, and collar them. My first group story line experience... well actually my second was a stint in Shaddai Bloodlines. My first group was a crime genre called Dark Justice, that I ran for almost five years before we all scattered like cockroaches when the lights were turned on. I'd started the game up to get the hell out of Rhydin. I'd tried for three months to like it, and just couldn't. Dark Justice was the result of my rebellion, and we had a good run. At some point during that timee, a friend dragged me to Gor and I was there for ... damn, twelve years. I still pop in from time to time. Some characters are just too good to let go of, even if the world around them is falling apart.
I've had a few runs in other 'cities', Miami and Los Angeles most notably, but New York is no doubt one of the greatest cities in the world and well... Neal is on a two mile leash.

Hi everyone! I'm H. I've just got little ol' Presley in with this group, though I may be bringing more over should the time come. I've been playing in the AOL world since 2.0 when I was 10. That should give you an idea of how old I am. That was also the time when RhyDin Forest was the place to be...:]
I'm a property adjuster in a CAT department for a large insurance company, so if the weather is bad somewhere in the country, I more than likely will be away from play due to long hours.
Despite that, I'm open for all sorts of things. Presley and her brother -who is NPC currently- run MoJoe's, a music venue near Tribeca.
I'm excited to play with you all!
Short and sweet.

-waves- Welcome H. Lovely banner. I'm especially partial to the splatters in the background. I don't remember how long ago 2.0 was but as long as you're legal your age is just a number to me. Being that Presley and her NPC bro will be running a music venue, I anticipate an excuse to let her and Jane meet.

I started in Rhydina and ended up in Gor, after I'd read some of the books and crossed someone in the All Creatures Tavern who said AOLGOR was better. Pft. It had it's moments but there was a lot of drama that made me leave. Gor was more than the collaring but yes, that's what most folks were interested in. Color me a culturalist but I really enjoyed the play on earth based cultures and history with a dabble of his (John Norman's) own imagination. Nevermind if he got his start mirroring Princess of Mars. I'll hush now...(after saying I am glad you switched to third person )

Gor had some epic story lines, and I was fortunate enough to be a part of some of them. But yeah, the babyshit is what pretty much killed it for me. And don't even get me started on Port Kar...

I probably played with some of your Gorean Characters before. You'll have to name some of them for me sometime. Maybe our paths have crossed before!

Tza Vatuga, Rowan Bodhi, Nicolas Bearing. Three of the more infamous ones.

About Me: The doc is the sort of woman who as a Film Noir air about her and a brewing darkness drenched in death. For the hyper-aware, perceptive and sensitive, she's the sort to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention. Jaq isn't her real name and her organ stealing ways are just a means to pay for an end. The end of the hunt for her.

I recognize Tza Vatuga ... I mine as well confess too. Apoc was probably my most known character and she was played under a two SN's to my memory, Elegant Barbarian, and Acquire This. The other one I played who was semi well known was Bellatrix, aka Rumor, zx pit xz I think was one SN (with a profile catch phrase of "Pit this"), then I moved her to Rumor has it.
Twin got me playing in Rhydin, and she's also the one who introduced me to Gor.
